Two Blackfeet are distracted by an object floating down the rivers current. As they quickly struggle to get into position one of the men reaches over the boulder into the rushing river to pull out something odd-a doll. But not one of theirs. It is a pioneer doll lost somewhere upriver. Perhaps the little girls family was in peril, perhaps she just dropped it accidentally or she just threw it in for fun the way kids sometimes do. What the Blackfeet do with this doll is up to the viewer. Will they take it back to their village for one of their little girls or will they leave it on the rocks to fade away in the sun...
